Forsyth Library

The library provides information and resources necessary to support academic programs and research for students, faculty, and administration. The building holds some 300,000 volumes in the general collection, 700,000 government publications, 300,000 microforms, and 2,500 current periodicals and newspapers. Special collections include Ethnic Studies, Kansas and Western History, the Donna Harsh Children’s Literature Room, and the University Archives.

A variety of services are available in the library: reference, circulation/reserve, interlibrary loans, access to special collections, and government documents. The staff offers individualized and group instruction in the use of library materials including print, microforms, and electronic resources. Computers throughout the library provide access to information from local and remote sites including the Internet and World Wide Web (WWW). Materials not present in Forsyth Library may be requested through the Interlibrary Loan Department which is supported by daily courier service from the other Regents libraries. The Government Documents Department provides information and statistics gathered from state, national, and international sources, including the Internet and WWW.
